He is made using the lost wax technique, which results in abeautifully intricate model – look at the wonderful details of the hippo’s face. To finish, he has been polished to perfection. Family-run silversmiths Francis Howard has been crafting exquisite silverware since 1870. The company is still run by Howard family today, from the Sheffield premises they acquired in 1873.
