An attractive decorative silver egg cup and cracker spoon set, from silversmiths Francis Howard. Perfect for a christening. There’s a long tradition of giving silver egg cups and spoons to young babies; partly so they could start collecting their own tableware, and partly for the investment value. This is a lovely version of this timeless classic. The egg cup has a polished finish and an elegant stem with a ball design. The dainty spoon is a “shell cracker spoon”, designed to tap easily through the egg.

The set is made from 925 sterling silver, hallmarked in the Sheffield Assay Office. Silversmiths Francis Howard was established in Sheffield in 1870. It’s still run by the Howard family to this day.
