A fabulous example of a limited edition box from Halcyon Days. Features Tom Kitten and his siblings Mittens and Moppet.
Mischievous Tom Kitten is the star of this adorable enamel box from Halcyon Days. Beatrix Potter’s much-loved naughty cat is having his face determinedly cleaned by his mum, as his littermates look on. Moppet and Mittens are painted again on the base, while Tom himself reappears on the inside of the lid (complete with popped buttons). The inside also features the opening lines of the famous story. The rectangular box
has Halcyon Days’ signature gilt rim.
It is crafted in Bilston, home of British enamelling. This historic technique of enamelling onto copper brings extra vibrancy to the painting.
This is a limited edition from a run of 250 boxes.
