The charming pig is beautifully detailed, as you’d expect from these renowned silversmiths. He stands on the polished sterling silver lid of the round box, which also has a delicate beaded design around its rim and base. The box is made from 925 sterling silver, hallmarked in the Sheffield Assay Office.
Francis Howard was established in Sheffield in 1870, and is still run by the Howard family to this day, from the premises they moved into in 1873.
