Halcyon Days Hark the Herald Angels Sing Musical Enamel Box to mark the 300th Anniversary of the Birth of Charles Wesley on 18th December 1707. The Brightly Coloured Box has Angels all around its Base and on the Lid inside a Gold Plated Mount is the Infant Jesus on his mother Marys knee surrounded by adoring Angels. On the inside of the Lid are the words To mark the 300th Anniversary of the Birth of Charles Wesley on 18th December 1707 and when open the Christmas carol Hark the Herald Angels Sing begins to play.
Charles Wesley who was the brother of John Wesley the Founder Member of the Methodist Church wrote the Words to this Much Loved Christmas Carol in 1739. It was later Sung to the Tune originally composed by Felix Mendelsshon in 1840.
